well hello there

I’m Kendall, a 29 year old devoted military wife, proud mother to a baby boy and two amazing stepdaughters.

When I’m not busy caring for little ones, you can probably find me obsessing over houseplants, making oddly specific to-do lists, or trying (and failing) to keep my coffee warm for more than 10 minutes.

ABOUT ME

postpartum doula support and packages denver colorado

One thing you should know about me is that…

I love this amazing life God has given me, and I strive to grow in faith, love, and purpose every day. I’ve been blessed with a wonderful husband, two beautiful stepdaughters, and our sweet baby boy, who has been my greatest inspiration.

As the oldest of six siblings, caregiving has always been a part of who I am. My journey has led me to work with newborns, young children, families, the elderly, individuals recovering from surgery, and those with disabilities.

Why I Started We Ken Grow Daycare

I created We Ken Grow Daycare to provide a nurturing, home-like environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow—academically, emotionally, and spiritually. I believe children thrive when they are loved, supported, and taught strong values such as kindness, patience, and respect. While faith is a guiding part of my life, I take a gentle approach to teaching positive morals and character-building lessons that all families can appreciate.

Beyond academics, I am passionate about healthy living, creative learning, and instilling confidence in children. I integrate gentle parenting principles, outdoor exploration, and enriching activities to help children develop curiosity, independence, and a love for learning. I also believe in nourishing little bodies as well as their minds, which is why I provide nutritious meals and encourage healthy habits from a young age.

As a military wife, I understand the unique challenges that military families face, especially when it comes to finding reliable and affordable childcare. I am proud to be a Family Child Care provider through the Air Force Academy, offering high-quality, flexible, and accessible care for military families. My goal is to support those who serve by creating a dependable and loving environment for their children, ensuring peace of mind while they fulfill their duties.

When I became a mother, I knew I wanted to be home with my son while still fulfilling my passion—helping children learn, grow, and build strong roots for their future. At We Ken Grow Daycare, every child is treated like family, and my goal is to prepare them not just for kindergarten, but for life—equipped with confidence, compassion, and a strong foundation to thrive.

I attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX—Go Raiders!—where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Health Professions.

My journey in caregiving began in Lubbock, where I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a nursing home and rehabilitation center for the elderly. While in college, I also worked at the Child Development Research Center, gaining valuable experience with infants and toddlers.

After moving to Houston, TX, I transitioned more into childcare, becoming a preschool teacher for infants (0-9 months). Later, I took on a role as a Nanny Manager for a wonderful family, with whom I still keep in touch.

When I relocated to Colorado during the pandemic, I worked with another family, homeschooling their children—an experience I absolutely adored. Additionally, I worked several years for my mom in-home care for the elderly, before recently deciding to follow in her footsteps and open my own business.

Originally, I pursued becoming a doula due to my personal fertility journey and deep interest in pregnancy and birth. However, after having my son, I realized that the demands of doula work didn’t align with my new life as a wife and mother. This led me to the idea of opening a daycare—a way to continue working with families, supporting people, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their parents.

“She was amazing at everything she did, she went above and beyond”

Kendall was our first full time nanny, she was amazing at everything she did, she went above and beyond, years have passed and my girls still have a special bond with her.  I even tried to get her to move to Vegas with us! But God had other amazing plans for her! She is still part of our family after all these years and we miss her every day! Kendall’s love for kids and attention to detail is what makes her the best nanny we ever had!

ANGELINA AND ALFREDO - PARENTS TO AVALON, AURORA, AND ADELINE

"Once we met Kendall, she quickly became an extension of our family.

Kendall is professional, responsive, caring and supportive. She has taken care of our newborn and toddler for many months now, and they love every minute with her. My husband and I wholeheartedly trust Kendall, which is not an easy thing to do especially when you have a newborn. She is extremely knowledgeable, puts us at ease and is a warmth in our home when she is here. If you have the pleasure of meeting Kendall, consider yourself lucky."

GWENDOLYN AND GRANT - PARENTS TO HARMON AND WADE

“I seriously can’t recommend Kendall enough! She’s been amazing with my little one”

She always made sure my daughter was engaged in something fun and keeping up with her needs. It’s so reassuring to know she’s in such good hands.

One thing I really love is how great Kendall is at communicating throughout the day. She always keeps me updated, which gives me so much peace of mind. And the fact that she does all this while also taking care of her own son just shows how patient and dedicated she is.

If you’re looking for someone who truly cares and creates a loving, fun, and safe space for kids, she’s the one!

JUSTINA AND JAMAAL - PARENTS OF RYLEIGH

“Our family had the pleasure of working with Kendall during our postpartum journey.

Kendall was quick in learning our routines and was a natural when working with our girls. They loved spending time with her!  She was very hands on in assisting us, many times with things we didn’t even know we needed.  On a personal level, Kendall was flexible and understanding as I worked through some challenging times during my journey. She offered excellent advice where needed and was always a comforting ear. We will carry much that we learned from her through the girls lives as well as our future pregnancy journeys. We are so grateful to and would 100% recommend Kendall!”
