well hello there
I’m Kendall, a 29 year old devoted military wife, proud mother to a baby boy and two amazing stepdaughters.
When I’m not busy caring for little ones, you can probably find me obsessing over houseplants, making oddly specific to-do lists, or trying (and failing) to keep my coffee warm for more than 10 minutes.
ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
One thing you should know about me is that…
I love this amazing life God has given me, and I strive to grow in faith, love, and purpose every day. I’ve been blessed with a wonderful husband, two beautiful stepdaughters, and our sweet baby boy, who has been my greatest inspiration.
As the oldest of six siblings, caregiving has always been a part of who I am. My journey has led me to work with newborns, young children, families, the elderly, individuals recovering from surgery, and those with disabilities.
Why I Started We Ken Grow Daycare
I created We Ken Grow Daycare to provide a nurturing, home-like environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow—academically, emotionally, and spiritually. I believe children thrive when they are loved, supported, and taught strong values such as kindness, patience, and respect. While faith is a guiding part of my life, I take a gentle approach to teaching positive morals and character-building lessons that all families can appreciate.
Beyond academics, I am passionate about healthy living, creative learning, and instilling confidence in children. I integrate gentle parenting principles, outdoor exploration, and enriching activities to help children develop curiosity, independence, and a love for learning. I also believe in nourishing little bodies as well as their minds, which is why I provide nutritious meals and encourage healthy habits from a young age.
As a military wife, I understand the unique challenges that military families face, especially when it comes to finding reliable and affordable childcare. I am proud to be a Family Child Care provider through the Air Force Academy, offering high-quality, flexible, and accessible care for military families. My goal is to support those who serve by creating a dependable and loving environment for their children, ensuring peace of mind while they fulfill their duties.
When I became a mother, I knew I wanted to be home with my son while still fulfilling my passion—helping children learn, grow, and build strong roots for their future. At We Ken Grow Daycare, every child is treated like family, and my goal is to prepare them not just for kindergarten, but for life—equipped with confidence, compassion, and a strong foundation to thrive.
I attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX—Go Raiders!—where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Health Professions.
My journey in caregiving began in Lubbock, where I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a nursing home and rehabilitation center for the elderly. While in college, I also worked at the Child Development Research Center, gaining valuable experience with infants and toddlers.
After moving to Houston, TX, I transitioned more into childcare, becoming a preschool teacher for infants (0-9 months). Later, I took on a role as a Nanny Manager for a wonderful family, with whom I still keep in touch.
When I relocated to Colorado during the pandemic, I worked with another family, homeschooling their children—an experience I absolutely adored. Additionally, I worked several years for my mom in-home care for the elderly, before recently deciding to follow in her footsteps and open my own business.
Originally, I pursued becoming a doula due to my personal fertility journey and deep interest in pregnancy and birth. However, after having my son, I realized that the demands of doula work didn’t align with my new life as a wife and mother. This led me to the idea of opening a daycare—a way to continue working with families, supporting people, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their parents.
